Gilda Barros aka Gildoca (1994) is a Cape Verdean visual artist, with a degree in Graphic Design from M_EIA, in Mindelo.

She began her practice in 2018, working in the areas of muralism, canvas painting, illustration and installation, seeking to capture themes of gender equality, ancestry and female representation. Her murals are visible on the island of Santo Antão, in the Xalabas di Komunidadi project (Santiago Island) and in Portugal, in Porto de Mós and Zambujal. She illustrated the books Raizes Negras, by Lúcia Vicente and Vaca Mundo, by João Fonseca. She participated in the Àsìkò Art School program, in the NZINGA II and NESR Art Foundation residencies (Angola) and in the 15th Dakar Biennial.

Her first solo exhibition, Memórias e Sentimentos (Memories and Feelings), took place at the National Center for Crafts and Design, in Mindelo.
