Diogo Bento (b. 1984) lives and works in São Vicente, Cabo Verde. He studied Photography at Ar.Co, in Lisbon, and completed his postgraduate studies in Photography and Contemporary Art at IPA/Atelier de Lisboa. His artistic practice is informed by an understanding of the landscape as a space of cultural embodiment, a place where natural, physical and symbolic dimensions interact and collide. He has been involved in several artistic and educational projects as a photographer, trainer, curator and founding member of AOJE, an organization dedicated to the promotion of photography.

Diogo Bento (n. 1984) vive e trabalha em São Vicente, Cabo Verde. Estudou Fotografia no Ar.Co (Lisboa) e concluiu a Pós-graduação em Fotografia e Arte Contemporânea (IPA/Atelier de Lisboa). A sua prática artística é informada por um entendimento da paisagem enquanto espaço de construção cultural, um lugar de tensão e confronto entre as suas dimensões naturais, físicas e simbólicas. Tem sido responsável por diversos projectos de carácter artístico e educativo, enquanto fotógrafo, formador, curador e membro fundador da Associação AOJE, uma organização dedicada à promoção da fotografia.
